Join OnCue Theatre for our second OnCue Theatre Adult Company production, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - A musical comedy with words, weirdness, and way too much pressure.

Welcome to the most high-stakes event in middle school: a spelling bee where the kids are quirky, the words are ridiculous, and the drama is very real. Six overachieving tweens (played by adults who haven’t outgrown their awkward phase) compete for the title of champion.

Along the way, they’ll sing, spell, and awkwardly bond over their childhood traumas... all while being wrangled by a reigning queen of the dictionary, a Vice Principal on the verge of a breakdown, and a comfortingly intense “comfort counselor” who’s mostly here to keep things from going completely off the rails.

Throw in some audience participation, wildly unpredictable twists, a healthy dose of chaos, and you’ve got a show that’s equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and totally off-the-wall.
